Chrysler Repair: Hood Safety Release, hood safety, safety release

1999 RAM 1500 - I can pop the hood from inside the cab, but the safety release at the bottom of the hood looks like its disconnected.  How can I get the hood open?

Hi Mike,
I am not familiar with the set-up on your specific vehicle, but in general the corporate design allow for access to the latch/release mechanism from underneath the vehicle. So take a look from below to see if you can see the mechanism in order to move it far enough to release.
