Chrysler Repair: 2001 Dodge Neon dying, 4 digit numbers, dodge neon
QuestionMy neon is dying on sunny warm days. The car even died while I was driving. First thing in the morning I have no driving problems. I had the Fuel Pump replaced last year.I even keep up on regular maintenance.
AnswerHi Barry,
There are several possibilities but the best way to find out would to do would be to use the ignition key to get access to the memory of the engine computer to see if it has recognized a problem. Turn the key:"on-off-on-off-on and leave on", doing that in 5 seconds or less elapsed time. Then watch the odometer window to see the miles change to show 4-digit numbers that have a "P" prefix. Write back with the numbers that show up and we can go from there.
