Chrysler Repair: Instrument Cluster problem, independent shop, model body
QuestionGauges would go haywire. Was told that I needed to replace the instrument cluster. Had the cluster replaced and it seems that the cluster is still going haywire. What could I try to do next?
AnswerHi Michael,
The plug wires could be inspected at the cluster and at the body computer, particularly the ground wire. It is also possible to do a fault code readout which would pinpoint which other component might be faulty. You can get that done for free at an Autozone parts store, or for about $40 at an independent shop. Once you get the fault code numbers let me know what they are, and also tell me the year, make, model, body style of the vehicle.

PS: Sorry for the delay, I just saw your question in the pool yesterday.
