QUESTION: Hi Kevin, I live in the Chicago, Illinois. Thanks for the offer. I just had the coolant flushed and changed. What is a heater core? The clogged heater core is this something easy to fix? Could it be the thermostat needs changing?
Answerthe heater core is the item that is where the coolant from the engine goes into the dash and a fan blows across it to give u the heat through out the cabin. if it is clogged up u dont get the coolant and thus no heat. a thermostat is for over heating or the engine not heating up not the inside heat.
u can have some one flush out the heater core and if that does not work then u haft to take the dash out and replace the core itself.
