QUESTION: how do i replace the ign switch on a 2002 voyager

QUESTION: i inserted the key into the lock and could not turn it either way and after checking some info on the forum i tapped the end of the key and it turned okay.
i lubricated the lock and the problem improved. it now only occurs every second or third insertion of the key.
i would like to replace the lock before it worsens.

u are replacing the key cly  not the ign switch  2 different things.

REMOVAL
Disconnect negative cable from battery.
Remove steering column cover retaining screws.
Remove screws holding steering column shrouds and remove lower shroud.
Place key cylinder in RUN position. Depress lock cylinder retaining tab on the bottom of the lock housing and remove key cylinder.
