QUESTION: Hi Kevin. I have melted wires in the main harness leading behind the heater box.  How do I remove the heater box to gain access to this harness?  I know I can fix the harness if I can get to it.  Thanks.

ANSWER: I would get a manual that has some pics attached to it so that  U can see how to take the dash out and HVAC housing.

van dash right side414   QUESTION: Thanks Kevin.  I have the dash about 90-95% disassembled.  I am now at the heater box.  Do I have to discharge the A/C system to remove the heater box?  Are the heater core and evap coil contained in one complete unit that have to be removed together?

U went about that the wrong way  as I said  get a manual to take the dash out  all of the panels u took out did not need to come off  the dash it self will come off as one whole unit. All the work U did was for nothing because U will haft to take the dash it self out and from the looks of it none of that has been taken loose.  And yes the ac will haft to be discharged to remove the hvac housing.
