QuestionQUESTION: I turned on my ac for the first time this year and it was blowing warm air. I assumed that it need freon. When I went to add freon, I noticed that the compressor clutch kept starting and stopping. It would turn for about 3 seconds and then stop. This also affect the reading that I got from the freon check gauge. Needless to say, I have not added any freon until I find out why the clutch does not continue to run. Please help. Thanks!

QUESTION: My apologies. It is a 95 Chrysler LHS. When the clutch starts, the low side gauge shows in the middle of the filled area.
ANSWER: in the middle of the fill area does not tell me anything is there a number like 30 to 50 psi? What u really need to do is have some one suck it down see how much is in there and go from there might be looking at a compressor, a high or low side switch a clogged line or lack of restriction in the system the little fill gauges does not help with that.

QUESTION: I believe it is 40 psi. When you say have some one suck it down, do you mean excavate the system? Is there something I could check at home or must I take it to a shop?
Answeru could check it at home if U had all the correct tools and gauges but U dont. U would simply be guessing at how much U have in there if infact that is even the issue everything is guessing with out the correct stuff to figure it out to which U dont have. When I figure out things like this I have my $200 gauges to see what high and low side pressure is.
