Chrysler Repair: Body Control Module replacement, chrysler concorde lxi, chrysler concorde

Question
I have a Chrysler Concorde Lxi 2000 can I install a Body Control Module from a junk yard without having to program it. Can I just install it and drive away?

Hi Norman,
My understanding of the module is that there are likely to be differences between your car and the replacement module that may result in problems. I would check with the service manager at a dealer, if you trust him, to see what he says. This is particularly important relevant to the theft security system programming functions so that you don't get a totally diabled vehicle which will have to be towed to a dealer for reprogramming. They have a $6k readout box that can do the necessary reprogramming so it isn't a do-it-yourself job.
