Chrysler Repair: 95 Chrysler Concorde:radio/abs quit together?, chrysler concorde, radio power
QuestionMy ABS and radio stopped working one morning when I went to use the vehicle. It occurred to me this might be a fuse or electrical issue since these two functions ( ABS and Radio) are seemingly unrelated to each other. I pulled out the ownwer's manual in an attempt to find out what the appropriate fuses were and where they're located. However, the fuse looked in tact ( there were no visible break in the fuse for the radio. Do All fuses have a visible break in the wire when they blow? Also, can you suggest which other fuses I may be overlooking. Does ABS main have to be changed? ABS main is located under the hood if I remember correctly. Thanks.
AnswerHi Alex,
I don't see a common source for the voltage supply to those to items. The ABS has 2 fuses in the power distribution center under the hood to consider: fuse C and fuse I. The radio power is supplied by fuse 2 under the dash which in turn comes from the ignition switch and the source to the switch does many other things as well so the power to fuse 2 has to be OK. So I would look at the three fuses to see if any of them might have a subtle crack in the internal wire, which may not be obvious visually so you might want to test them to be certain.
