Chrysler Repair: 02 sebring convertible fuse for radio/pwr locks/inside lights keeps blowing upon replace, power locks, keyless entry
QuestionOne morning the keyless entry did not work and upon use of the car the power locks, mirrors, radio and inside lights do not work. I checked the fuses inside and the #5 fuse was blown so I bought exact replacement which every time I put a replacement in it blows immediately. I have a feeling it is something to do with the inside light but have to have the door open to replace the fuse. I don't even know how or when the fuse blew initially as my wife used the car and everything was fine the day before. Everything else in the car is ok, though when you go to drive it will make a ding noise when first backing up and now I notice that after you turn the car off the dash will remain lit for a little, then all the parts on the odometer will light up and it will say NO Bus and then the lights will go out.
Answerthe no bus is from the BCM not having power from that fuse. I cant tell u what is causing it only that its a sort to ground on that circuit now going about finding it is the fun part. I would get a wire diagram and trace down the wires and hard parts that it goes to if u dont wanna mess with it take it to a dealer or a shop that U trust.
