Chrysler Repair: 2001 T/C Van Radio Equalizer Lights Flash, radio wont work, radio equalizer, chrysler brand
QuestionI recently disconnected my van's battery terminals to clean them and after reconnecting the battery the radio doesn't funtion. The 3 Equalizer lights flash but that is all. Any clues on what to do to get the radio working again?
AnswerHi Barry,
I don't claim expertise beyond the year 2000 because of the cost of keeping up with the repair manuals. My suspicion is that you may have a security system built-in to the radio that requires putting in a code to re-enable the radio. If you have an owner's manual for the van (or the radio if it isn't Chrysler-brand) then look for the instructions on how to enter the code and where you might find the code. Many radios have such a code requirement so as to discourage the theft of the radio by someone who doesn't have a code to make it run again. Disconnecting the power will cause the code in the radio to be erased, thus the need to re-enter it.
