Chrysler Repair: fraying fan belt, power steering pump, chrysler intrepid

QUESTION: I have a 2007 Chrysler Intrepid and The fan belt continuously keeps fraying on the edge about 1/8 on an inch The car does not make any noises while running very smooth.

ANSWER: they did not make an intrepid in 2007  the last year for that car was 2004

QUESTION: Sorry it's a 2002 intrepid 2.7

the 2.7 has had an issue with the belt tensioner and some times they will brake and eat a hole into the timing cover  so a new spring,pulley and bracket should take care of that  unless u have replaced something else like a Power steering pump  or alt  or something like that and did not install it back correctly.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.
