the van wont start i think its the fuel pump but the check engin light flashs 5 times then stops then another 5 times then it quits until the next time I turn the key on to try to start. is it the fuel punp or is this some kind of code

The check engine light flashing five times is definitely a kind of code, but I don't know what it means - my knowledge is centered on older rear-wheel-drive models.
