Classic/Antique Car Repair: side mirror, merc car, good luck jack

Question
I have a 1968 Merc. Monterey conv. I am having trouble getting the passenger side mirror to operate. Have taken it apart but can not figure where the wire goes?

I don't know anything about your car.  The Model A did not have wires going to the mirrors.  If your mirror is on the door, the wires have to come out of the front jam area into the cowl panel.  If it is on the fender, look above the front tire.  You may be talking about the wires that control the movement, then they go to the toggle control lever.  Find a Ford or Merc car club over there and join it.  They will have all the answers and you will have a lot more fun with your car.
