Classic/Antique Car Repair: timing, chevy driver, good luck jack

Recently purchased a 51 chevy styline all original, 216 engine, 6 volt system, manual trans. Have slowly been going through it wanting to make it a daily driver. Have been unable to find a correct timing procedure for this engine. Can you help?

I don't know what the procedure is, but if you contact, or join a Chevy car club they can help you.  Search the net for Chevy and ask them.  I do recommend that you keep it standard and not try to turn it into a hotrod.  A nicely restored Chevy driver will keep it's value.
