How can you remove headlight switch on a 1962 Mercury Comet so you can check the fuses Thanks David?

Answer
Reach up under the dash. On the side of the headlight switch that is opposite the wires there should be a spring loaded button. Pull the headlight switch knob all the way out and then push the button and finish pulling the switch rod out of the switch. Then there should be a cross screw driver slot in the bezel where the switch knob and rod came out of. Unscrew the bezel and the switch is out. Please disconnect the battery before doing this operation.
