1974 vw bug carb sweating :yesterday frost on it why

Sam,  Check the preheat tube to the carb(flexible aluminum/paper 2 1/4"), and the exhaust heat tubes (2, one on each side) intergral to the intake manifold.  There should also be an engine breather to the air cleaner(1" rubber).  All of these help keep the carb at the optimal temp to prevent carb icing.
