Classic/Antique Car Repair: Carb Adjustment for 1955 T-Bird, electric fuel pump, gas jets

What is the proper way to adjust the car on a 1955 Ford T-Bird with a v8. It is a new rebuilt carb and seems to be starving for fuel even though it has a electric fuel pump. I am not sure the accelerator pump is working properly so I would like to adjust the air and gas jets right to eliminate that as a problem

if accelerator pump is not working right, you will never be able to adjust that out.

to adjust, hook a vacuum guage to an unmetered port and slowly adjust each screw ( going back and forth between the two) until you obtain the highest vacuum possible with the combination of both.
