Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1974 chevy elcamino 350 sb, timming, fuel line
Questionwhen im driving and reach speed of 35 to 45 my car starts dying so I back off the peddle a little and it comes back on. when going up a hill too it's worse. replaced fuelpump , vacume advance, and the whole distributor. timming is on, and now im still lost.
AnswerThe first place that I would look would be the fuel filter. Rochester 4 barrel puts the filter in the inlet connection on the Carburetor right behind the big nut. It could be a leak in the fuel line between the plump and the tank and it could be trash in the tank plugging up the sock filter. But I would try the filters first.
