Classic/Antique Car Repair: need to find a mechanic, penny saver, driving distance

hi
my beloved mustang mechanic is retiring and i need to find someone else. i live in charlotte, nc and have not had any luck finding someone reputable within a reasonable driving distance.

any ideas as to how to find someone - already tried asking parts stores for referrals and they are no help.

   If you were in  westchester ny I could help you out, try the local penny saver , or ask around  at shops where you see guys working on hot rods not klunkers but cars with lettering on them,etc.  than ask them, they will know some one  I bet
