Have you heard about the 6/12 volt battery. It start's the vehicle with 12 volts then switches back to 6 volts so as not to fry your system. "kantar.com" use to sell this battery but no longer do and couldn't think of who does. I've seen it talked about on a couple of web pages but nobody mentions who sell it.

Well heres a new one on me

A battery is just 6 2 volt cells put in series to give 12v battery and the 6 cells are just enclosed in one case.

The car starts using the 12 v and the battery does nothing after that, the car runs off of the generator I dont see how or why it would jump back to 6 volts

How old is this car it went on?
