Classic/Antique Car Repair: VIN numbers, chevy ii nova, 6 digits

Can you decode the following VIN numbers for 1967 novas

Answer
118377: Chevy II Nova Super Sport Hardtop Coupe, V8 engine
11837:  No number like that in my books - you need the 6th digit - that is the year.
118:  Not a good number in my books
116377:  That is a the same as a 118377, except not a Super Sport.
118376:  That is the same as the top one, except it is a 1966 car.

The W and N are for the plants they were made in.  The last 6 digits are just a sequence number (they don't mean anything except the order in which they were built).

These number books are not the last word in accuracy, but that is the only information I have.  You should check with the NOVA club to get better information if you need to be certain of your accuracy.
