Classic/Antique Car Repair: search history and value on 1942 car, history and value, skyway

Question
I have a 1942 Commander Skyway by Studebaker. I assume that it is fairly rare, because I am unable to find anything helpful. The car is original and in exceptional condition. Driven regular with no problems. I am now in need to sell the car but don't know how to price it. Is there anyway that I can trace the numbers and find some history. THe vin # has only 8 characters.

Hi  I did a search and there  are a lot of sites on the car. so just go to  ( Studebaker ) and look up what you need.  ok
I can not do the search for you , why have a car like that when you know nothing at all about it ?
