Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1969 Buick Skylark Air conditioner, 1969 buick skylark, size buicks

We have a 1969 Buick Skylark Custom convertable.  We need a replacement interior a/c heater box for under the dash.  Does anyone make a replacement or do we have to find a used one in a junkyard?

Well, I can't be certain, but I'd be very surprised if anyone were making replacements for this part.

I'd contact the wrecking yards in the Phoenix or Southern California areas that specialize in old cars.  I believe this same part was used in other models, certainly other body styles of mid-size Buicks, and I believe also in mid -size Oldsmobiles and Pontiacs of the 68-72 era.  The wrecking yard should have an interchange manual that can identify possible donor cars.
