Classic/Antique Car Repair: hydraulic fluid for a convertible 75 chevy caprice, chevy caprice, hydraulic fluid

can you tell me what kind of hydraulic fluid i need for my 75 chevy caprice classic convertible top mechanism. i dont want someone pouring the wrong fluid in so that the top wont work right.

 Hi well have you checked it , if you can see the color of it , than that will help,  if it is clear in color than you can use the DOT brake fluid. and if t is red in color you can use ATF, tranny fluid .    I do not know what type fluid  that was put   in it so it is one of these .  ok
and you might have to bleed the air out.
