Classic/Antique Car Repair: Headlights, pontiac laurentian, headlights

I just went for a spin around the block this evening in my 64 Pontiac Laurentian,and the headlights failed.
The original manual says if there is a problem with the headlights to take it to the dealer.Doesnt appear to be a fuse.
They worked fine last night. What do you think?

     I would check the wires and fuse and then the lamps , and check the fuseable link if it has one .also if it has a relay check it  . use a test lamp and see where you have juice and then how far it goes to the lights  , when you have no more juice than there is the trouble.  ok.
