Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1930 Cadillac carburetor, cadillac carburetor, eldon mo

I'm restoring a 1930 cadillac in Rochester New York and need a
carburetor float that will withstand the corresive action of tody's
fuels.  The original material disintegrates and I am hopeful I can
find a brass float.  Suggestions?

Yes, you should contact Jon Hargrove at "The Carburetor Shop" in Eldon MO.  He will have the part, or he will be able to rebuild your carburetor for you.  He is a genius with antique carburetors, and the only one I trust other than myself to work on one.
