Classic/Antique Car Repair: 1952 Chevy Deluxe, heavy duty battery, 12 volt

I want to change from a 6 volt system to a 12 volt in my 1952 Chevy Deluxe.

What do I need to do?

Just change the all the Bulbs?

I just want more starting power!!!

Hi John;
      If you want to go with a 12 volt  system you will have a lot of work , as far as a new 12 volt battery , genarator, regulator , lamps, fuses , starter ,coil, elect system ? and after all that work and money it will still start up the same way , just get a heavy duty battery , you can look in the catalog of (jc whitney ) he should have what you would need for a switch over . I would not do it , just get a new battery and a  h.d.starter motor.
