Classic/Antique Car Repair: adding power steering to a 68 camaro, chevy camaro, 68 camaro

hello mr. warrington, thank you for donating your time and expertise to help poeple like myself.  I have a 1968 chevy camaro (standard model) and didn't come with power steering.  is it possible to add power steering? and is it gonna cost me an arm and a leg?  please give me your opinion on this matter and let me know how much i should give myself as a budget.  thank, john in california.

   John ,  just a thought , it will cost a lot for labor if a shop is going to do it and I do not think that you will find anyone that will take it on as it is a lot of work and it will cost a lot also. I would say a few grand at least.lines,hoses,pully,belts,power unit,and etc. etc. a lot.I would just let it be and get a good alignment and have the front end checked out and keep it stock.
