Dodge Repair: 5.9L main bearing replacement.

I have a 1998 Dodge 5.9 360 4WD truck. Question is can I change the main bearings without pulling the engine. Drop the oil pan, pull oil pump, change bearings out one at a time.

Hi Carl,
I have the '01 Ram manual and it states the 5.9L bearings can be changed out without removing the engine. Some disassembly is needed to remove the oil pan such as an exhaust pipe, a engine to transmission strut, but nothing major. Let me know if you want the pages from that manual.
