QuestionQUESTION: it MAY work for about ten minutes but then blows HOT air (hotter than outside). took it in to the dealer service today and they did a check with evacuate and recharge, dye test, etc. worked for about 30 minutes but out again.
any ideas about how i can direct next repairs?
by the way, it has been a problem for about two years and a couple of independent shops tested and said they found nothing wrong with it....even tho it blows hot air.
thanks for any help.
ANSWER: where all the times u took it in was it always low in freon? if so U have a leak and will need to have dye in there and a UV light to find it.

QUESTION: they said nothing was wrong and no freon was added. yesterday they did the dye test (actually a whole a/c system with evacuation and recharge) but it is doing the same thing today.
the service people said there was a leak yesterday but i would assume that it would have been repaired given i was there for the service and they charged me for a complete service.
what next? my jeep doesn't seem to do the dash diagnostic display bc i tried it at my brother's advisement.
Answerwith conflicting information with them and not knowing if there is infact a leak i cant tell u what is going on. I can tell u this an evac and recharge is not a fix a fix would be them calling u up and saying hey this is leaking we see dye and needs to be replaced and then tell u how much. so if there is a leak it will haft to found and repaired.
