QuestionQUESTION: what should the oil pressure be when engine warm at idle, after putting a new high performance oil pump and pressure sensor switch .I still have the same problem the needle gauge goes to zero the gauge light goes on and bell sounds every time i slow down or stop .. mechanic put his gauge on and it reads 10 lbs ,, he says the manufacture says min 6lbs. I have a 2001 dodge 1500 van v6 3.9 liter
ANSWER: I have no idea what a high performance pump will put out.

QUESTION: I would like to know what the manufacture says the oil pressure should be at idle ,, with the stock oil pump , cause i have 10lbs right now at idle ..I am told a min. 6 lbs. is fine but oil gauge is still dropping ..
