i have a 1998 dodge intrepid with 2.7 liter  how do i loosen belt to remove alternator?

no pun intended  but if U haft to ask how to loosen a belt  I  think the alt it self might be a bit over your head in trying to replace. I dont think U have an idea of how it comes out of the car.
FYI  it comes out through the lower end and the cross member comes out to make room.
The belt is loosened by taking loose the lock nut on the adjuster  then adjing the  pulley in or out as needed.
