Dodge Repair: Horn keeps blowing, clock spring, dodge stratus
QuestionI have a 1996 Dodge Stratus and about a month ago I had to remove the fuse for the horn because every time the wheel was turned it would start honking. I am ready to sell it now and when I went to put the fuse back in, it now constantly honks. I don't want to spend alot of money to fix but the horn is required to pass inspection before I sell it. Any advice would be much appreciated. Thanks.
Answerif u can get assess to the clock spring which is under the steering wheel cover turn the key off wait 2 min then unplug the 2 connectors that goes to it. Install the fuse and drive it around if the horn goes off u have a short in wiring some where if the horn does not go off then u would be looking at a clock spring, airbag assembly or horn pad.I live in the Atlanta area I would be glad to look at it for u.
