Dodge Repair: ECM computer on a Town and Counrty, discount auto parts, auto parts store

Question
Two questions. 1. Is a ECM computer the same as a BCM computer? 2. How do you install a ECM computer on a 1999 Town & Counrty AWD 3.8L? Once it is installed do I need to do anything after?

They are different but perform almost the same task.  However if you do not know a lot about automotive electronics I would consult a local expert to get a hands on experience.  There are so very many things that you can mess up on a town car that I would suggest you have an automotive electronics shop repair your problem.
If you however decide to do it yourself.  Go to a discount auto parts store and get a Hynes Repair Manual that covers your car.  Read it all of the way through and make sure that you pay close attention to the warnings in the manual.
