Question96 plymouth voyager wont start, all relays and fuses in the fuse boxes,(under dash and hood check out fine). battery is good, as well as connections. i tried starting it in park and in neutral, also moving the shifter from park to drive while ignition was ingaged and still no response from the starter, i looked at the starter and it wasn't "oil soaked" and connections were tight. all i can figure is the neutral safety switch, now where would it be located, 1996 plymouth voyager, 3.0ltr, 3 speed automatic, not a four speed automatic. this is the first crysler that i have owned and i have always been able to fix whatever is wrong with an automoble, this is the first time i cant figure it out, so your help is needed please
thanks jay
AnswerYou need to test for power at the starter solenoide
while trying to crank (you will need a helper)
I doubt the neutral safety switch is the trouble.
Try gently tapping on the starter with a hammer while
your assistant holds the key to "crank" while in park.
