what all parts do i need to over haul a 3.0 liter engine besides from the overhaul kit and how can I do project on my own

Jus to warn, overhauling a 3 liter is a PAIN. I did one in a Dodge Dynasty, you have to eliminate the computer and everything electronic. A Haynes repair manual will tell you everything you need to know, it's too long and involved for me to help with.
