Dodge Repair: Intrepid A/C Leak?, luck steve, likly

Thank you very much for your follow-up.
 Yup... that seems to be the problem. Last night I looked again after dark at the ground under the car where the a/c usually drains. There was a bright green puddle underneath. The dealer said today that if fog comes out of the vents it is likely the evaporator, as you said. He quoted ~$250.00 for the evaporator, and ~$600.00 for the labor, as nearly the whole dash has to come out.

THAT IS ABOUT THE COST TO GET IT FIXED, AFTER THEY DO THE JOB CHECK THE CAR REAL GOOD AND MAKE SURE EVERYTHING WORKS. (SWITCHS, GAUGES,LIGHTS,)AND CHECK FOR RATTLES. THERE ARE A LOT OF PARTS TO BE REMOVED AND THE MORE YOU REMOVE THE MORE LIKLY THAT A PROBLEM WILL COME UP. AND IF THEY CAUSED THE PROBLEM IN FIXING THE A/C THEN THEY SHOULD TAKE CARE OF IT.

A LOT OF SHOPS WILL TRY AND SAY THE RATTLE WAS THERE PRIOR TO THE REPAIR AND TRY AND CHARGE YOU AGAIN. OR THAT NOW YOU NEED A HEALIGHT SWITCH WHEN ITS JUST UNHOOKED
