Dodge Repair: starter mounting bolts, dealler, dodge dakota

I thought this would be an easy item to locate but I keep getting told I need the specs for the item.
All I need is to know the specs on the size and type of mounting bolts for the starter for my 1988
dodge dakota 3.9 v6.  I guess length /diameter/ and sae or metric or some such thing.  Apparently someone tried to steal my starter, cause it is still hanging by the cables/or wires but the bolts are missing and no one seems to be able to order me the right stuff.  I keep ending up with bolts to put the starter together with.  It is together, I need to mount it to the vehicle.  Can you help out a DUMB WOMAN, so I can get this vehicle back to work for me.  It is used for construction jobs, and the down time is costing me dearly.  Thanks,

you are  not a dumb women . Here is what you want to do is go to a dealler they can pull the bolts right off the shelf . they will cost 3 dollors a pice but u will have them . if you have troulble geting threw them let me know i will help you get them . good luck to u hun and i love your name pete
