Ford Repair: Codes po401 and po402, carbon buildup, egr valve

Know the codes mean too little and excessive.  I need a visual image of where to locate the EGR valve.  One mechanic suggested that I clean it as it is probably carbon buildup.  I maintain my vehicle with oil change ever 3000 miles...

Charles, you might be able to clean-up the EGR, however most likely it would need to be changed.  I would use the autozone.com repair section, to help with your request.  Or goto to your local library, most likely they will have repair manuals for your car.  Thanks!
