Ford Repair: ABS light comes on occasionally, rear differential, abs sensor

Hi, i have a 1999 Ford Ranger 4x4 Ext Cab
I changed the abs sensor that is located in the rear differential, but the light still comes on occasionally.
Any idea what is going on?

I would check the connection after installation. Provided the installation is fine, I check the front ABS that might be going bad.  Otherwise, I would suspect that controller might be at fault. My recommendation, is to do the basic, simple thing first, then go ahead and have it checked by a mechanic.  Thanks!
