Ford Repair: 1997 Escort Outter Tie Rod Ends, outer tie rods, paint marker
QuestionShortly I will be receiving a set of outer tie rod ends, my alignment is slightly off already and I was wondering how many turns it takes to be as close to factory alignment on an outer tie rod end. Thank you.
AnswerMichael, I don't know the answer to your specific question. However, I'd recommend that you take the car to an alignment shop after you install the outer tie rods. This is not a job for the DIY in the garage.
Best way is to mark the position of the old tie rods with a paint marker prior to removal. This would get you close enough for the car to be drivable to the nearest shop. Thanks!
