can you please tell me where the mass air flow sensor is located on a 2000 ford expedition 5.4 and can i clean it

Derrick, the mass air flow sensor is usually located between the air filter box and the air intake to the engine.  So, there should be a tube that extend from the back of the air flter box and to the engine.  Around the middle of the tube, there should be a splice of sort that connect the two pieces together, it held by a screw clamp.  This is the mass air flow sensor tube and inside it is the sensor.  And yes you can clean them by using a special mass air flow sensor cleaner, makes sure that you follow the instructions exactly as the sensor is very sensative and it easly be damaged.  This a very expensive part, though easy to install.  Thanks!
