Ford Repair: Check Engine Light, ford taurus, 1999 ford taurus

1999 Ford Taurus: My check engine light  ia on and I have a PO445 code.I was told to replace the Canister Purge Solenoid. Is this the only thing it could be.PLEASE HELP!

Hello Ken, The code is for a evap leak, the code is not a serious concern for the engine, yes the light will stay on untill the problem is fixed. Your vehicle will run fine and this will not effect th way the vehicle performs. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
