Ford Repair: 2002 Ford Ranger warning lights, error light, luck chris

I have an error light on the dash. It is the O/D light and it is blinking. It is also shifting pretty hard from first to second.

hey there. when that light is flashing, it is like a check engine light, there will be a trouble code stored specific for the transsmision, it is apperant that the transmssion is not operating normaly so it will have to be scanned to see what the fault is,
