Ford Repair: Resetting check engine light, auto zone, money
QuestionI had my check engine light come on today and had to replace some plugs (I knew it was coming from the way the car was acting) now I need to reset the light and I really don't want to disconnect the battery. I know that there use to be a way to turn the ignition switch a certain amount of times or something. Any advice would really be appreciated. I really have no money to go to anyone to do this and the shops around here don't do it for free. Thanks!
AnswerHello Kim, Go to a auto zone and have them rear the code, then have them erase the code. They will perform this for free, otherwise disconnect the battery for 5 minutes to erase the code. If the code comes back you will have to have a diagnostic performed to see what is causung the light to come on. Thanks Tony
