Ford Repair: 1997 explorer V6 sohc, obd2 codes, head gasket

engine shakes with a rattle noise OBD2 codes show p0301, p0302, p0303
misfire in cyl. 1, 2, 3
what might the likely causes be?

Your coil pack covers all six cylinders, but it does sound like a possible candidate. Another possibility would be that the head gasket or intake gasket for the passenger side head is defective since all three cylinders are on that side. Have the compression tested as well as the coil.
