Ford Repair: 97 4.2 ford 150 Need to change rod and put intake gasket because of water leak., head gaskets, 12 volt

QUESTION: Do I need to pull the engine or repair it in the truck?

ANSWER: hey there. for intake work and even head gaskets, i do most of my work with the engine in the truck, it is not necesary to pull it out,

QUESTION: some how the battery was hooked up backwards. it burned the mega fuse and i replaced it. I still have no power to solenoid or coils. What could it be? I checked all fuses show in repair book.

Check power to the startor solenoid. from the ignition side, and trace the wire back, to in junction box, there may still be another burnt fuse, you need that trigger wore to get power from an ignition source to crank, there will always be a 12 volt positive to the startor,
