ANSWER: Replace the solenoid. It's that simple. If that doesn't help, which it does 99 percent of the time, there may be a fusible link bad located right near the solenoid, It's the solenoid.

AnswerCheck the fusible link that I mentioned before. Test the ignition switch lead going to the solenoid. This will be a 2 man job. You're problem, if it isn't in the fusible link, is either the ignition switch itself, or the rod in the column. Hopefully it is just the switch.
