Ford Repair: 2000 Explorer coolant smell, coolant loss, heater control valve

Hello Tony.  2000 Explorer V8.  After my wife comes home and parks in the garage I can smell coolant outside in the front of the truck.  No visible leaks and minimal coolant loss.  Any ideas?  Thanks.

Hello Bill, Have you performed a pressure test? One thing to check is there should be a heater control valve at the heater hoses, on one end there is a rod that goes through a housing with a vacuum line attached, check there. Hope this helps Thanks Tony
